Like most people, we weren’t looking forward to buying a car from a dealership. Two years ago, we bought a Tesla, and most of the process was online—super easy until the final pickup at their Dublin location. This time around, we emailed six Chevrolet dealerships about the specific car we wanted and asked to handle most of the process through email. Five of them didn’t really listen—they kept pushing for our phone number and wanted us to come in just to look at “available” inventory. A couple even sent back some really high quotes, blaming low inventory and high demand (even from 2 dealerships through the Costco Auto Program). Then we connected with Riley McGreer at Dublin Chevrolet, and it was a much better experience. No pressure, just responsive honest advice and feedback. We emailed back and forth for a few days, and Riley found exactly the car I wanted at a great price. We went in for a quick test drive and wrapped up most of the rest online and over text. A few days later, we signed everything from home (via DocuSign online) and picked up the car in Dublin. Overall, it was a much smoother, more enjoyable experience—and we love our new 2025 Equinox EV. Huge thanks to Riley and the Dublin Chevrolet team. Highly recommend!

Some things went well. I like the system you have of having a service rep to act as concierge. Brandon was personable and helpful. I was also given a comprehensive list of service and repairs which was handy. I don’t like that I was asked to pay and additional $275 assessment fee to figure out the electronics issues. I was charge a $275 assessment fee which applied to troubleshooting related to engine misfiring. We had asked to assess the computer/ electronics too but this got missed. When I asked about it later I was told it would be another $275 to assess it. Another pain point pertains to the long list of identifies service and repairs which needs. #1 the quoted fees were astronomical for each. It was brazen to ask that much. #2 the electronics issues were not referenced in the list and that’s an issue I needed help with. #3 I asked if you could waive the additional assessment fee but never received a direct answer. It would have been nice to walk through the list and discuss levels of urgency and help me figure out how to take care of what I could afford for now. Here’s the bottom line. It all left me with a feeling of not being cared for. I felt like I was an opportunity for you to make a lot of money. My electronics are acting up again but Im afraid to bring it back because of the above issues.

When I dropped off my 2015 Chevy Silverado truck I took a shuttle back home and the dealer called me and informed me that my truck would not be able to have it done that day. So the driver had to take me back to the shop and pickup my truck and bring it back again the next day. This was due to four (4) their technicians did not show up.

I come in on the Tuesday after Memorial Day with and EV error on Stabilitrak and regen braking. The app tells me to take it in. I take it in. I proceed to wait, cognizant of the labor situation that the advisor tells me he has only two EV techs and a line of cars. I go without my car for about 8 days including a weekend. Luckily everything worked out but then the car get diagnosed on the following Tuesday while I’m prepping to go out of town to move back my daughter from college. The part arrives and I get a bill for $1824 when I pick up my car about 12 days later. If you’re charging that much for labor why can’t this dealer hire more techs to get jobs resolved quickly. I’ve never been that disappointed from a Chevy dealer given my dad worked for GM for 15 years and just recently retired. I was an advocate but give the lack of a dealer that can service vehicles in a reasonable time no wonder my stock price isn’t climbing. It’s just a poor experience and reflection on the brand.

Rick Enos was excellent to start the process but when I came to pick up my Truck, Service Advisor Jack Landon was very unprofessional and berated me, made me feel uncomfortable during the pickup process. I pointed out a few minor things about the installation at which point he started yelling at me, asking me what I wanted from him. I stated I wanted acknowledgement that there was a flaw that could be addressed during the next day because no technicians where on staff. This was at about 5:30 PM. This Service Advisor kept yelling and then walked off, was very upset and didn't handle the situation in a friendly Maner. I am now afraid to purchase any new parts and services from Chevrolet Dublin. I will take my business elsewhere even though it will be a farther drive for me.

Luke our salesman was outstanding. We really enjoyed working with him. I would give him a score of 5. However, upon leaving the dealership and getting on the freeway, I found that the Adaptive Cruise Control did not work. The OnStar system also did not work (even the SOS button). Other systems that didn’t work are: Lane Assist, Alexa, Google Assistant, the vehicle’s Time & Date auto set,, and the Media List was unavailable. This was very disappointing as these systems should have all been checked prior my taking delivery. Dublin Chevrolet’s service department I would give them a score of maybe 1.

The shuttle driver called in sick. I had to take Uber home. Then when I came back to pick the truck the service writer Todd told me he wouldn’t take the uber cost off the bill. He told to see the service manager. Kind of strange that not more than one month ago Todd picked the Uber charge up and he was the one who told he would. If you’re going to run a dealership then have your employees at work on time for the customers. This post will be on the Yelp page and posted on social networks around the Tri-Valley.

Only appointments are 2 weeks out and then we were told it’ll 2 or three days before they look at it and we were charged $250 diagnostics on top of the delay. When asked about it we were told that the appointment was to just drop off the car not for work to begin. Clearly there’s a disconnect on what a service appointment is. We were left without a vehicle so it could sit in your lot while my appointment wasn’t honored. The work was completed but the price was way more than other shops and dealers quoted, (once I got the car back I priced the work out). Not sure if I will get any work done at Dublin Chevrolet in the future. From the service writer to the appointment process, none was good.

When we purchased an Equinox EV at Dublin Chevy we had some questions about equipment and operation. The salesman we had was not familiar enough with the car but then he asked Phill to come over. Phill was fantastic. He spent a long time going over everything then gave us his cell phone number, telling us we could call him anytime we needed help. Yes, we did need to call him with problems trying to switch the OnStar account from my to my husband's phone. Once again Phill spent a long time helping us. This was not the person who had handled our purchase so Phill was not the one getting credit for the sale, yet he went very much out of his way to ensure we could do everything and were happy with the car.

Rich Deeds salvaged what started as a terrible situation. He stepped up to the plate and found a resolution to my issue. If he hadn’t taken the corrective action that he did, I would no longer be a GM/Chevrolet owner, nor would I have entertained ownership of a GM vehicle in the future (I.e. if car parts fail under 36K miles, it is either indicative of manufacturer defect, catastrophic impact, or an extreme lack of durability/longevity).
